Chelsea
Afrofusion
Hello, I’m Chelsea! I’m Nigerian which is where my love for dance comes from. I’d been dancing leisurely since 7th grade and participated in a few showcases in high school. During my time in undergrad, I was part of an African fusion dance team where a choreographed and assisted in choreographing various dances for our showcases over 3 years. Dancing for me has been a fun way to stay connected to where I’m from so that’s me!

Lekabel
Afrofusion
Hi! I’m Lekabel, a Beninese-Cameroonian dancer with a deep passion for sharing the rich diversity of African culture. Growing up in Benin, I was immersed in a variety of cultural traditions, which sparked my love for dance. Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of styles, including Coupé-Décalé from Ivory Coast, Rumba from Congo, Amapiano from South Africa, Mbolé from Cameroon, and Footwork from Nigeria and Ghana. With four years of experience in Afrofusion, including three years of teaching choreographies/leading classes, I’ve also explored hip hop, Bollywood, soca, dancehall, and jazz. I've worked with children at a local community center, teaching Afro-Caribbean dances and preparing them for annual cultural showcases. Through dance, I aim to continuously share my love of movement with others.
